Shadow of Vargamäe
Urmas Lennuk

The production In the Shadow of Vargamäe tells a story about how love left Vargamäe for some time. However, it is not downright tragic and far from being a bulldozer of hopeless depression, called to pile us all up. It has its own sincerity and love, beautiful and frail words and kisses. It has its bold rural language in which men demand their bizarre rights. It has sacral festivity that intertwines with peculiar characters. It has everything that is familiar to life.

The author has gotten the initial impulse from the works of A.H. Tammsaare, Truth and Justice I-III, and focuses on the relationships of Mari both with the farmstead of Vargamäe as well as with the men of Vargamäe (Juss, Andres, Pearu and Indrek).

The doors open 15 minutes before the beginning of the performance. Duration: 1 hour and 50 minutes, one intermission. People who are late will be allowed to enter the hall after the intermission.
